BOC Offers CO2 Handling and Storage Technology

BOC, a member of the Linde Group, is working with a consortium led by RWE npower to develop a flexible solution which will enable CCS to be applied to a potential new coal-fired power station in Tilbury.

BOC says it has extensive experience in the handling and storage of CO2, and is a key partner in a number of CCS projects, including a proposal for the first power station in the UK equipped with CCS technology.

The proposal is part of the UK government's competition for a commercial scale project to capture CO2 from a coal-fired power station and store it geologically offshore.

BOC says its expertise lies in the purification, compression, cryogenic conditioning and transport of carbon dioxide.
